A great high school must serve all of its students well...and it must be able to produce measurable academic outcomes... - U.S. News & World Report
Twelve Stark County high schools were included in the U.S. News & World Report's 2015 Best High Schools Rankings. National ranking and a silver medal were awarded to East Canton (Osnaburg), Hoover (North Canton), Jackson, Lake, Louisville, Minerva and Northwest. Canton South (Canton Local), Marlington, Perry, GlenOak (Plain) and Sandy Valley received national recognition and bronze medals.
To produce this year's report U.S. News & World Report teamed up with North Carolina-based research firm, RTI International, to review data for 29,070 high schools across all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Schools were ranked by college readiness and academic performance data.
