Stark's "Green" Universities Garner National Reputations while Sustaining the Environment

The National Arbor Day Foundation has once again recognized Kent State University at Stark and the University of Mount Union as Tree Campus USA schools.[1] It is the fifth year in a row that Kent Stark has received the honor and the fourth for Mount Union.

Sponsored by the Toyota Foundation the award "honors colleges and universities for promoting healthy urban forest management and engaging the campus community in environmental stewardship."

Also, for the fourth consecutive year, Mount Union has been included in "The Princeton Review's Guide to 332 Green Colleges: 2014 Edition." Only 14 schools in Ohio earned that distinction.[2]
