Our congratulations to Hoover and Jackson High Schools for their listing in the Washington Post's High School Challenge. The Challenge ranks schools nationally on how effectively they prepare students for college.

Mount Union and Walsh Among Nation's Top Colleges and Universities for Community Service

On May 12th, the Corporation for National and Community Service announced that the University of Mount Union and Walsh University have been named to the President's 2010 Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. [1]


The purpose of the Honor Roll, created in 2006, is to honor colleges and universities across the nation for exemplary, innovative, and effective community service programs. Honorees are selected on factors such as the scope and innovation of community service projects and extent of student participation. It is the highest federal recognition a college or university can receive for its commitment to community service.

The Corporation for National and Community Service oversees the Honor Roll along with the United States Departments of Education, Housing and Urban Development, the Campus Compact, and the American Council on Education. President's Honor Roll
