Great times this Summer!
Greetings!

What a great summer KZUM has had - mostly because of all of you!  Our listeners continue to demonstrate over and over how much KZUM is loved in our community. 

 

Special thanks to all those who came out to the annual Jerry Garcia Birthday Bash on July 30th, as well as our Music & Book Sale in mid-August.   Both events raised nearly $4,500.00 for KZUM!   THANK YOU!   

 

Let's keep the momentum going K-Zoomies!  KZUM's fundraising for the year is not over yet!  (Well, let's face it fundraising is never really "over".)   We all know what happens twice a year around here - PLEDGE DRIVE!   

FALL 2011 PLEDGE DRIVE  

BEGINS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND! 

 

Our goal is $52,500.00!    

 

Pledge

The KZUM baseball caps are back!  They will be offered as a pledge premium (or  $20.00 per cap while supplies last).  Other SPECIAL pledge premiums include Tee-shirts and gift certificates to:  eateries, a winery, book stores, and retail!  


This year's Fall pledge drive will be held in tandem with
the BLUES BLOW OUT!   So, let's make it great!  All pledge donations received via this e-newsletter OR directly from our website will count towards our fundraising goal of $52,500.00!!

VEGFEST!

VegFestThe 6th Annual VegFest is Saturday, September 24th from 2-5:30 p.m at Bethany Park located at 66th & Vine streets!   

 

KZUM & How's It Growin'?, Community Crops, Buy Fresh Buy Local, Prairie Fire Newspaper, and Reynold Peterson Graphics sponsors this Fall celebration dedicated to the harvest of healthy foods and the growers that bring them to market!

 

This event requires a lot of help!  Volunteer openings include: assistance with set up, tear down, clean up of the park, parking attendants, etc. Please email bloopgardens@aol.com for more information.

Have you ever wished you could go back and listen to your favorite talk show on KZUM?    Well, now you can! 

KZUM is now hosting podcasts of your favorite local talk shows on our website. Eleven different shows are available for download including:  Our Street, Earth 2 Lincoln, How's it Growin'?, Canine 360, The Servative Hour, The Joy Factor, Science Odyssey, Exploring Unexplained Phenomenon, Health Talk, Mind-Body-Spirit and Lavendar Hill.   

Go to
www.kzum.org and click on the 'programming' tab and scroll down to 'podcasts'.  Download the show to your favorite listening device or stay right there to listen as you work at your computer.
