Harmony Stained Glass

Happy Glasser
I'm So Excited About Our New Class Lineup!

As many of you know, I just returned from a week-long conference with other stained glass retailers.  During the week, I taught two classes to my peers.  I also took classes from pros in the glass business like Gil Reynolds, Laura Rendlen and Sharon Carothers.

In this email and in messages to come, you'll be seeing some exciting new classes.  I hope you'll find something that's irresistible!

I'm looking forward to seeing you soon.

No Experience Necessary
$39 plus glass and supplies

Saturday, July 25 Wire Wrapped Cab

Wow! Now you can create amazing jewelry with your dichroic cabochons. Angela will be teaching two techniques for wire wrapping dichroic cabochons to create pendants you can wear - "Caged" and "Groovy".  This class requires the use of round-nosed, narrow flat-nosed and nylon-jaw pliers, and flush-cut wire cutters. We have them available for purchase.  We will also have a variety of wire and cabochons available for purchase at a special price. If you have something that you want to wrap, bring it to class. The best shapes to learn with are teardrops and ovals.

Botanical Burnout - No Experience Necessary
$95 plus glass - includes firings for two projects
Sunday, Ju ly 26  Botanical Burnout1
from 1:00 to 5:00 pm
TWO PROJECTS IN ONE CLASS!

You bring the botanicals and we'll teach you how to get those leaves to fuse beautifully into the glass. Bring a variety of leaves.  Most ferns work well. (Asparagus fern doesn't).

We've even seen this done with
flowers so if you have some simple  flowers like daisies, bring that too.

If your botanicals aren't flat, smash them between two pieces of paper and under something heavy for a few days before class. They don't need to be fresh for this to work.

In addition to learning Botanical Burnout, you'll learn how to use the Morton Portable Glass Shop to cut exact squares and rectangles and how to use one of Harmony's variety of circle cutters to make perfect circles.
