New Exhibit Celebrates 1919 Reds
Music@BCM: The Company
Thursday, August 9, from 6 - 9 p.m.
The big finish of the 2018 Music@BCM concert series on Thursday, August 9, will feature one of the region's hottest party bands, The Company, performing the best dance music of the past four decades, with vocalist Ramona Blaine out front. 

Formed in 2011 by Blaine and keyboardist and sax player Paul Kindt, The Company (aka "tCo") has built a reputation for getting its audiences up on their feet and out on the dance floor. With Pete Bodde (guitar), BJ Brown (keys and vocals), Carlton Tollier (bass/vocals), Daryl Ross (drums/vocals) and Joe Fink (sound engineer), The Company has played dozen of local theaters, restaurants, clubs and private parties with its repertoire of dance, pop and R&B. It also is a favorite with local brides and grooms, having won mentions from TheKnot.com's "Best of Weddings" four years in a row.

Music@BCM concerts are held in Behringer-Crawford Museum's outdoor amphitheater at 1600 Montague Road-Devou Park, Covington, KY 41011. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the concert runs from 7 to 9 p.m. In case of rain, performances move indoors. 

Admission is $5 plus tax for adults and $3 plus tax for children ages 3-12. Museum members pay for one admission and get the second one free. Concert-goers who ride their bikes to Music@BCM get free admission, courtesy of DevouCycle, the new adaptive bicycle rental service based at the Devou Golf and Event Center
Adult beverages are available for purchase. Concert-goers can also purchase food by Colonial Cottage of Erlanger, KY, supporting local community organizations. Parking is free.

Parents, bring your kids to the museum before Aug. 12, mention the article and one child will be admitted free with each paying adult.

New Exhibit Celebrates 1919 Reds
Now Open
This new exhibit features authenticated baseball cards, autographs, postcards and souvenir books from the 1919 Championship Reds. The exhibit also includes memorabilia commemorating the notorious "Black Sox" betting scandal that rocked baseball and led to eight White Sox players being banned from baseball for life.
Chippie's Sensational Science Lab on Tour:

Behringer-Crawford Museum takes its science lab on the road to for a pop-up sessions of summer fun inspired by BCM’s cheeky chipmunk mascot. Free admission in cooperation with Covington Parks & Rec. For children in grades K-7.

Chippie's Sensational Science Lab: School Days
Tuesday, August 14 from 1 - 2 p.m.
Chippie, BCM’s chipmunk mascot, introduces science to children aged 3 to 5 in this fun and educational monthly series, which incorporates S.T.E.A.M. elements and age-appropriate experiments! Perform a “floating jewels” experiment, make elephant toothpaste and more! Cost: museum admission plus $3 lab fee per child. Children must be accompanied by an adult. fresh ART 2018
September 16, from 4 - 8 p.m.
Art lovers and collectors will have the chance to bid on original works by more than 50 local artists in live and silent auctions at fresh ART 2018 on September 16 at Behringer-Crawford Museum. Tickets to fresh ART are $80 per guest or $125 for hosts, tax included. The event includes dinner by McHale’s Events and music by the Cliff Daly Band. Brown Bag Luncheon: The Buzz on Beekeeping with Tyson Hermes

Beekeeper Tyson Hermes (City of Erlanger Mayor) will have all the buzz on beekeeping  from hive components and the caste system to the inner working of the bee colony.  The lunch and presentation will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. in them Education Center. Tot Tuesdays!, designed to help prepare preschoolers for reading readiness and socialization, are held from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on the third Tuesday of every month. Admission is free for BCM members. For future members, cost is $9 for adults, $8 for seniors 60+ and $5 for children. There is a $1 craft fee per child. Free parking. Reserve spots for you and your child at (859) 491-4003.
