On behalf of the Capital Area REALTORS' leadership and staff I would like to welcome you to your newly merged association.  Thank you for the confidence that you  have placed in CAR.  Please know that I offer my personal pledge that we will do all that we can to earn your trust.  

Your Chapter leadership should be commended for their outstanding efforts and leadership during this process.  Their only concern throughout these negotiations was your best interest.  I would like to recognize Chapter President - Stephen Daly, Chapter President-elect Jacquelyne Turner and Chapter Manager - Diana Hallstrom for all of their hard work.  I look forward to Stephen joining us in April as your Chapter representative on the CAR Board of Directors.

While we have come a long way in this process there is much work to be done.  We are working diligently to finalize our transition plans which include the conversion of MLS information.  We anticipate the conversion from your Flex MLS system to the CAR InnoVia system to be completed by the end of June.  Our goal is to offer local hands-on training prior to the conversion as well as immediately following the conversion.  In the near future, you will receive detailed information on these training opportunities and how you can reserve your seat.  

Additionally, we have hired professional real estate instructor Kerry Kidwell to provide local training on CAR's library of forms and contracts.  Mr. Kidwell teaches the forms and contracts portion of our orientation program and is well versed in these forms.  Please note that two different sessions will be offered, one on April 27, 2015 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. and another on April 28, 2015 from 9:00-12:00 noon.  This training will be held at Midwest Bank of Western Illinois (2558 North Seminary Street, Galesburg).  Additionally, we will offer a special training session on April 28, 2015 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. for those that have smartphones and would like assistance setting up their SentriLock app.

As a member of the West Central Chapter of the the Capital Area REALTORS (CAR) you will continue to have access to local services and Chapter activities.  The Chapter office continues to remain at 975 North Henderson Street, Suite 4 in Galesburg and will be staffed by Diana Hallstrom from 9:00a.m. - 12:00 noon Monday through Friday.  Diana can be reached via telephone at 309/342-6225 or email at [email protected].  Additionally, as members of CAR you have full access to all that CAR has to offer.  Should you have any questions regarding your membership or services please refer to the attached staff directory that lists each staff person along with their areas of responsibility.
