It's Our Birthday, But the Surprises
Are for You!

Thursday, February 19th will mark the first anniversary of Take The Lead's launch event in 2014. It's been an incredible year, and it couldn't have happened without your support.

We promised more to come in 2015, so to celebrate our birthday, we're rolling out some exciting new initiatives. Starting next week, keep an eye out for a weekly newsletter with workplace equality news, advice, and inspiration. We'll also be making an announcement about upcoming events and launching our #25not95 campaign to rally others around our goal of leadership equality by 2025. It's going to be a great birthday - celebrate it with us!

#25not95: Aiming for Parity 70 Years Ahead of Schedule

The World Economic Forum recently predicted we won't reach gender equality in the workplace until the year 2095. At Take The Lead, we don't want to wait that long - and frankly, we think we can do much better than that.

We're aiming for leadership parity by 2025, but we need to be united to make it happen. Show your support on Twitter using the hashtag #25not95. Tell us why reaching leadership parity 70 years ahead of predictions matters to you - and what you plan to do about it. Let's get this trending!

SAVE THE DATE!

Mark your calendars! On Tuesday, March 3rd at 6:30 pm ET we will have a special anniversary treat for you with one of the stars of our launch event, Carla Harris. Stay tuned next week when we announce a big surprise and give you details on how you can hear more from Carla!

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE MOVEMENT BLOG

Gloria Feldt reflects on the feat of two climbers who scaled El Capitan in Yosemite National Park, and how to accomplish things that others deem impossible.

When his daughter spotted a "Men Working" sign along the road, guest blogger Vincent O'Keefe took the opportunity to teach her a lesson about gender biases in language - and encouraged her to forge her own path to happiness regardless.
