Inspire Jewish youth to give of themselves...
December 2013
Friends,

What a wonderful, busy month it has been here at the Areyvut office! With the New Year's Day
Carnival Extravaganza right around the corner, we have been spending much of our time ensuring the the carnival will provide your family with enough memories to last you until next January 1st. Of course our other educational programming and chesed events have been thriving as well- our Mitzvah Clowns have continued to bring their happiness to area senior homes, and all of the Westchester Jewish Teen Learning Initiative classes are starting to wind down. Keep reading for more information...you'll be happy you did!

Mitzvah Clowning on Mitzvah Day!
Our Mitzvah Clowns had a wonderful time spending Mitzvah Day with residents of CareOne Teaneck. We always enjoy spending time CareOne and this time was no exception! Our new group of Mitzvah Clowns were quite in their element (as you can see above!) and we look forward to our next Bergen County event at Bright Side Manor.
Music & Morals
Check out what some of our participants have said about the Music & Morals course...

"I realized that many songs have values..."

"It surprised me that there are actually important Jewish values in the songs that I listen to..."

"You can mold everything into a Jewish value..."

"Each song that we listened to, you could find a moral no matter the genre..."

If you are interested in bringing the Music & Morals class to your school or community, contact Daniel at [email protected]
URJ Biennial in San Diego
We are thrilled to be attending this year's URJ Biennial in San Diego. The Areyvut team is looking forward to not only spreading the word about what we do, but also meeting so many people who are making in difference in the lives of Jews throughout the country. If you will be there, too, make sure to stop by and say hello!
About Us
Areyvut's mission is to infuse the lives of Jewish youth with the core Jewish values of chesed (kindness), tzedakah (charity), and tikkun olam (social action). We offer Jewish day schools, congregational schools, synagogues, community centers, and individual families with a variety of opportunities to empower and enrich their youth by making these values real and meaningful to them.
