President's Address
Happy September!

September is a busy month in my family - back to school, birthdays and the beginning of my favorite time of year - Fall!

I am pleased to share with you, debuting for the first time ever, the NEW! and IMPROVED! NHAEYC website:  http://nhaeyc.org/

Our website is a work in progress and we envision our updated site as a hub of information, resources and tools to guide early childhood professional growth, practice, development and improve access to your NH AEYC membership benefits.

On August 13th we held our Annual Board Retreat at our new office in Concord. It was an energizing day of discussion, planning and scheming for the year ahead. We have some exciting things planned as we move forward into 2015/16. Including changes to our event registration system, offering more affordable diversified professional development opportunities and special member events! Stay tuned!

At our Retreat we also officially launched our #SoProudToBe campaign. Please share with us your #SoProudToBe early childhood moments as a professional, parent or family member! We will select moments to be featured in upcoming newsletters and social media outlets. If your moment is selected you will receive one of our new t-shirts!

I will keep this note to you short, as this email is full of exciting announcements and events for the month ahead! If you have not done so already please consider joining us for our upcoming Infant and Toddler Training Series featuring Lori Harris as the series presenter. Individual session registrations are open! Registration information: http://www.cvent.com/d/hrqcql/1Q

Please join me in welcoming Gina Apgar to our Governing Board as a Member at Large. We are very fortunate to have her join our NH AEYC family!

Thank you for your continued support and membership!

DON'T MISS OUT!
Fall 2015  I nfant and Toddler Training Series!
Sign-up today!

Registration is open for our 3rd Annual Infant and Toddler Training Series  entitled,
Infants and Toddlers: Naturally Vulnerable-Engineering for Strength

Presenter Lori Harris shared, "One could argue that all infants and toddlers are vulnerable since they are dependent on others for their survival. The most vulnerable of that group are the one that have families living in conditions that include poverty or abusing drugs and alcohol with few resources available to them. Teachers in classrooms do not always know the details of situations families are facing, but do have professional knowledge and obligations to create environments that are safe havens for children and their families."

Sessions in this five-part series will be centered on Child Abuse and Neglect, the Inclusive Classroom, Infant/Toddler Mental Health, Medical Considerations and Language & Culture.

Sessions are scheduled on the following Mondays from 6-9PM; September 14th, 28th and October 12th and 26th. The final session will be held on Saturday November 7 from 9am - 3pm at Manchester Community College in Manchester, NH.

Members can attend this 18-hour
training series for $175.00 and future Members can attend for $225.00.
