More than a Bookstore... a Community.
It's Spring, Dr Seuss!

Happy birthday, Theodor (Dr. Seuss) Geisel! Dr. Seuss has helped millions of children discover reading, wonder, silliness and nonsense (all very important things if you ask me). But he also has lessons for all of us, about environmentalism, respect, choice, education, openness, and equality. "Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope." Perspectives and ideas that challenge us to grow are always welcome. Many thanks to everyone who helped provide copies of Animal Farm to Ms. Chelsea McFadden from Albuquerque High!

Discover New Mexican Wonders
with Arthur & David Pike

Local authors Arthur and David Pike will be joining us to discuss their new book,  Detour New Mexico: Historic Destinations and Natural Wonders , on  Sunday, March 26th at 3:00pm .

New Mexico's rich and varied history is easily accessible via detours down obscure backroads and overlooked off-ramps. By taking the road less traveled in any direction, visitors can experience ancient landmarks, cultural heritage sites and striking vistas. Stop at places along the old Route 66, sample the world's best chiles by the Rio Grande or soak in geothermal water flowing under Truth or Consequences. Ancient dwellings in remote canyons, the town where the first atomic bomb was secretly assembled and the grave of Billy the Kid all lie off the beaten path in the Land of Enchantment. Authors Arthur and David Pike map out these and many more worthwhile points of  interest for the curious traveler.
