4 th of July Pray ~ Hope ~ Believe 5K Run/Walk !!!

We are only 2 months away from our 7th annual Pray~Hope~Believe 5K ( PHB 5K ). Rates will increase at the end of the month so NOW is the time to register! Don't forget you can form a team - or join an already existing team - to add to the fun! The morning includes a flag-raising ceremony, 5K run/walk (for the leisurely or competitive), food, drinks, music, children's games, and Superhero Sprint (for the little ones). Remember to bring some money for our amazing basket raffle, split-the-pot, PHB Superhero cape, and Sno-Bug. We end the morning with a memorial ceremony for those lives cut too short by brain cancer.

If you are not able to attend, but want to join the cause - you can register as a virtual walker/runner. Just walk or run where you are and we will send you your race shirt.
The PHB 5K is the primary fundraising effort for the Pray~Hope~Believe Foundation (PHBF). PHBF was established to honor the memory of Tony Merk – a 6-year-old boy who died on July 4, 2011 after an almost three-year-battle with brain cancer. PHBF’s primary goal is to raise funds for pediatric brain cancer research because brain cancer is the #1 disease killer of children in the United States. PHBF’s mission also includes supporting families who have a child diagnosed with a brain tumor – through social support (like our Family Camp Day), financial support, and a prayer ministry. We have funded $325,000 in research since we started in 2011. We continue as a foundational partner with the DIPG Collaborative ( ) – partnering with organizations throughout the world to more efficiently move pediatric brain cancer research forward. We are only able to do this because of supporters like YOU! See you on the 4th!

With HOPE and appreciation,

Rick and Lynne Merk
