Chairman Rick Blocker
Rick Blocker presides over the largest Democratic voting district in the state of Michigan. The 14th Congressional District represents the best of the American work ethic. We have a substantial population of working class, blue collar or "gray" collar residents and a growing population of white collar workers.
The 14th District is a melting pot of culture and ancestry. It spans the west side of Detroit; Hamtramck - which still retains the culture of its original Polish immigrants; Dearborn, known for the headquarters of Ford Motor Company, Henry Ford's Greenfield Village, and America's largest Arab-American population; Highland Park; and the traditional working class suburbs of Melvindale, Allen Park, Southgate, Riverview, Trenton, and Gibraltar; and the pristine open spaces of Grosse Ile.
