ING has served you and your family, as well as communities at large in the last 25 years

By dispelling stereotypes and countering Islamophobia and other forms of bigotry, ING has prevented hate and discrimination through education and intercultural engagement and literacy.

And you can see the results in California where we are based and have had four affiliates in Sacramento, the Bay Area, and Southern California.

According to a recent poll, cultural differences in California are far more appreciated (90+%) than in any other region in the country, and 54% have favorable views of Muslims, while the corresponding national figure is 41%. You will find similar results in regions where we have affiliates that mirror our work and capacity.

But much more needs to be done, and that’s where your support is needed.  Please match your gifts of previous years by giving today

And if you’re new to ING, then please consider a donation amount that you’re comfortable giving consistently .

Join us for the next 25 years to ensure that we have affiliates in every neighborhood in the country. Look for my emails over the next few weeks as I take you on a journey that explores the work of ING in each of our programs.
Here’s a snapshot of what we have accomplished together in the last 25 years.

With you, we have created four programs that each could become their own company.

Islamic Speakers Bureau (ISB)
seminar
Initiated in 1993, our flagship program provides educational presentations on various topics related to Islam and Muslims.

  • Presentations about Islam and Muslims: Over the past 25 years, the ISB has delivered more than 21,000 presentations face-to-face in the San Francisco Bay area alone to a total audience of over one million Americans of other faiths in schools, universities, churches, synagogues, and community centers.
  • Cultural Diversity Seminars: Since 1995, we have trained over 35,000 professionals in law enforcement, education, health care, and business on how to deal sensitively and appropriately with Muslims.
  • ING Affiliates: Initiated in 2000, this program has planted affiliate Islamic Speakers Bureaus that use ING’s content and approach to provide face-to-face education by and about Muslims and Islam in 30 states and one Canadian province.
  • Online Educator Resources: Starting in 2012, educators in 47 states and three Canadian provinces have downloaded these resources, which include PowerPoint slides and lesson plans of the public presentations that we deliver. This program also includes answers to 200+ frequently asked questions about Islam that are viewed on our website over 25,000 times a month.

Interfaith Speakers Bureau (IFSB)
Initiated in 2007, this program offers educational presentations on various topics related to five major world religions (Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, and Judaism). Since its founding, the IFSB has given close to a thousand presentations to over 30,000 students and adults.

INGYouth
Since 2016, over 250 Muslim teens and their parents across the country have been trained in bullying prevention and school participation, and 85 Muslim teens in eight states have been certified as speakers in their schools. So far, 20 of those speakers have delivered more than 30 presentations to audiences of about 5,000 people in various schools around the country.

Know Your Neighbor – Multifaith Encounters
Initiated in 2016 in the White House under the Obama administration, a coalition, led by ING, of some 100 local and national faith-based and interfaith organizations has so far reached seven million people across the country in social media campaigns that promote inclusion and respect for diversity.
How can you join us for the next 25 years?

By donating, volunteering, or reposting our campaigns. Donations are easiest. Please match your previous giving. And if you’re new to ING, the average giving last year was $250/year. I invite you to match that, or, if you can, to exceed it.
