SEPT 16 Vaughn, Oakley & Friends at Kentucky Opry
Draffenville, KY. 
Vickie Vaughn originally from Symsonia, Ky starting singing at the Kentucky Opry at age 10. She sang Back & Lead vocals and picked up playing the Upright Bass as well. When Vickie graduated high school she move to Nashville to attend Belmont University. She is making quite a name for herself in the music world.  She currently is playing and performing with several different groups and also sings back up vocals with Patty Loveless.
Logan Oakley also was a cast member at the Kentucky Opry playing Lead & rhythm guitar and vocals. Logan now resides in Nashville with his new wife Taylor Oakley.

SEPT 23 -  Archaeology Festival at Wickliffe Mounds
Wickliffe, KY. 
September is Kentucky Archaeology Month and in recognition, Wickliffe Mounds will have special demonstrations
and hands-on activities for learning about how archaeology happens, at a kid's level. Featured activities include a
mock excavation, artifact laboratory analysis, spear and atlatl throwing, bows and arrows, flint knapping, finger
weaving, make and take home a pottery craft. An Archaeology Quest for kids will be available. Event is included in

"All About Gourds" Juried Exhibition
The Icehouse Gallery is now accepting entries for this year's "All About Gourds" juried gourd art exhibition. The show opens on the day of the Gourd Festival on Saturday, September 16 and continues through October 14 The Icehouse has made changes to this year's exhibition. They're eliminating all of the categories from previous exhibitions and creating just one category for all entries. Best of Show winner will be awarded a $200 cash prize.
