Greetings!

This started as just a little note, then....it grew and then it grew some more and then I couldn't get on the Constant Contact website....  so this grew even more!

I wanted to clarify details about the paper saleYou don't have to order 2 the same, you just have to order 2 in the same broad category!  Since that wasn't clear, I've extended the sale through the weekend!

If you haven't tried the 6x6" pads of paper, they are very nice to work with.  The paper inside usually has two colourways, so you can use one or the other and then they are papers that bridge the two colourways. They are wonderful for cardmaking.  And for the calligraphers - you can usually letter on the decorated papers. (Of course you can always use markers if you're unsure. ;-)  )

Here are two cards made from the same pad of paper which look completely different. I used Magnolia Grove by Kaisercraft. Hard to believe they're "related". You can click on each card to see more details on the blog.

Thanks to everyone for their, ahem, "condolences" as our youngest son left the nest last week.  You can see his card on the Quietfire Style blog.  He got the job he wanted and now has an air mattress that doesn't leak - and I refilled his TimCard today, so all is well in the world!

 Artwork, Artwork!

Artwork by Betsy Veldman

Here is a beautiful card by Betsy Veldman using Hope from the Life Journey Words.  The turquoise in the wings just makes this design pop!  Betsy is one of the PaperCrafts magazine Go-To Gals.  Click on her card to visit her blog! Tell her how much you love this card!!  ;-)

Our guest Designer for June is

Kim Prince!

Kim is a Quietfire Designer Alumni and has recently moved to Victoria.  I had the pleasure of meeting Kim for the first time last weekend when a small group of "locals" got together for lunch, then all went shopping at Island Blue.  Yes, even I shopped!

I was delighted when Kim presented me with the card she created for a Quietfire project she'd made. You can see that card in the  Flipbook on Page 6. Lucky me!

You may visit Kim's blog here.

Stayed tuned for some Quietfire creations from her!

I couldn't resist bringing in some of these dies. They are different and delightful!  These dies are wafer thin like the Spellbinders dies and cut in the Grand Calibur like a dream!

And this is just one of the new Memory Box Dies.  They are beautiful and go through the Grand Calibur just like a Spellbinders die.
