See What the Skaters Have to Say
The fight for the Championship title comes to a finish tomorrow, Saturday, June 2, as The Fury and the Manic Attackers lace up their skates for the last time this season at the UIC Pavilion.
Both teams have some pretty big plans for what they’ll do with the Ivy King Cup after winning. The skaters have opted to remain anonymous so they don’t give away any secrets to their competitors, but here’s a few things these athletes have in store for the coveted Cup, whom they lovingly call “Ivy.”
The Fury
First thing’s first, I’d buy Ivy some brass knuckles bling right away. She loves her accessories!
We’d dress Ivy up in lederhosen and take her to Maifest!
We could fill the Ivy King Cup up with bananas so Fonzo McKnuckles can eat them all.
I would accessorize Ivy with gold watches and boat shoes.
I would use Ivy as a Horcrux to travel to the WFTDA Championships to watch WCR's All-Stars win the Hydra!
Manic Attackers
Manics make lemonade, so we would fill the Ivy King Cup with the crisp and tart summer beverage!
Always thinking of the whole team, we would fill it with fruits and nuts and feast off it in a glorious ceremony!
Now that my kids are older, I would put the cup in a baby carrier and bring it to ALL THE THINGS.
I could keep it in my home as a dinner bell to alert my hard-of-hearing grandfather that it’s time for dinner.
