J. Krishnamurti Online International Newsletter
Greetings!

Are we responsible with our families, ourselves, the world, the teachings? What does it mean to be responsible? Can one be partly responsible? Would not that be an act of irresponsibility?

Krishnamurti and Dr. Allan W. Anderson explored these and many other fundamental questions in a series of serious, intense and inspiring dialogues they held together in 1974.

We are currently uploading these 18 dialogues (one a week) so that people can experience, not only the verbal, the conversation, but also get a sense, observe this art of inquiry Krishnamurti mastered, this moving inwardly from fact to fact.

Most conversations and dialogues we have about the teachings or about our lives and issues, end up being an exchange of opinions, of points of view, of feelings and understandings. Actually, the most recurrent words in those encounters are "I think", " I feel", "to me", "what I understand". This alone indicates how deeply rooted is this inertia of moving along with our opinions, when Krishnamurti is actually challenging us to move beyond our opinions, to move beyond our thoughts, ideas and concepts, to question each one of them deeply, to the very root. Because when we don't, however noble our intentions and actions may be, we will have missed the opportunity to find out "what really is".  And every missed opportunity is yet another drop in this tremendous chaos that extends from oneself, to our families, and societies.

Let's therefore hope these dialogues can help us embrace this wonderful challenge of knowing oneself through inquiry. That is our only option.

Sincerely,

Knowledge and the transformation of man

First conversation with

Dr. Allan W. Anderson

Q: Is there freedom in knowledge?

It is our business as human beings to realize the enormous suffering misery, confusion there is in the world. Do we realize with all seriousness our responsibility to the whole of mankind?

What is communication with others?

Third conversation with

Dr. Allan W. Anderson

Q: What does it mean to be serious?

In the word communication is implied the art of listening.

The art of listening demands a quality of attention in which there is a real sense of having an insight as we go along each second.

What is a responsible human being?

Fourth Conversation with
Dr. Allan W. Anderson

Q:
What is responsibility in human relationship? What is your responsibility for human growth, human culture, human goodness?

When you feel responsible for a child there is a flowering of real affection and care and you don't train him or condition him to kill another for the sake of your country. Human beings are now conditioned to be irresponsible.
