Austin had the opportunity to participate in the summer Muma JA BizTown experience and this is what he had to say about it!
"JA BizTown is a place where if you know nothing going into it, you will know a lot going out of it! Ever since my older brother got to attend I have been bugging my mother to let me! I want to be a businessman someday and so I will use everything I learned someday. I think some of the keys to success is to be organized and know how to work as a part of a team.
The learning experience I have had here is outstanding. I have not seen a place where learning is so much fun!"

Award Given to New Employees Who Have Demonstrated
Outstanding Impact on the Organization
Taylor Vogelsang, Program Manager of Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay has been awarded the organization's "Rising Star" Award. The award is given to mid-level staff members who are emerging leaders within the organization, and who demonstrate outstanding, measurable success in executing their responsibilities.
The award, which was created in 2004, recognizes staff members who have shown leadership within their JA community and perform their duties at the highest level.
The award was presented to Taylor at Junior Achievement USA's recent National Leadership Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 21, 2016. Taylor has been with Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay for 3 years, and during that time has been a valuable resource in maintaining the existing partnership with teachers. In addition, Taylor has helped to secure and maintain a grant from a local energy company by adding hands-on STEM activities to the JA elementary curriculum. Taylor has also been instrumental in the continued growth and expansion of our Teen Leadership program.
"Taylor is a worthy recipient of the Rising Star Award, said Richard George, president of Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay. "She brings enthusiasm, dedication and passion to advancing the JA mission." Taylor Vogelsang shared that she was honored to receive the award. "I am so privileged to receive this award, but I am even more inspired by the young people Junior Achievement impacts on a daily basis, said Vogelsang. "Working for Junior Achievement makes every day rewarding, challenging and fun."
