STAR STUDENT
Yusuf Fattah
Senior
King High School

I participated twice in the Junior Achievement Entrepreneurial Academy.   The ingenuity and rigorous thinking that is required of us is what encouraged us all to push ourselves and lit the sparks within us in what will be the leaders of tomorrow.
With the confidence and strength that Junior Achievement instilled in me, I was elected as the Future Business Leaders of America Region IV Vice-President for the state of Florida. As I look forward to my future, I plan to fulfill my dream of honoring my mother's wishes by becoming a doctor with a minor in business.  That plan also includes utilizing the skills I gained through Junior Achievement by eventually starting my own private surgical practice.
The most memorable part of the Junior Achievement program was not my success or my progress but rather the success and progress of each and every one of my fellow interns.  I saw my peers go from simply shaking their head "no" on the first day, because they felt that what was being asked of them was impossible, to being empowered and taking an active role within their community whether it be improving grades, joining clubs, being more vocal, or simply smiling more. That is what Junior Achievement is and that is what Junior Achievement does.
Thank you to PwC LLP for their support of JA students!
