Since last writing I have been to Art Van Go to teach a two-day workshop and to Chelford to give a lecture and workshop, as well as having Jan Beaney here at Moor Hall delivering a two-day workshop. Oh and I also had a fabulous weekend with the Textile Study Group when we were taught by David Tress, the amazing landscape artist. So where to begin?

Lets work backwards and start with the Knitting and Stitching Show, at Alexandra Palace from 11th to 15th October. Do visit their website

Jose Hendo, the fabulous U gandan born British contemporary fashion designer will be exhibiting alongside me at all three of the Knitting and Stitching Shows. (London, Dublin and Harrogate). The focus of our white walled exhibition will be about how we individually work with barkcloth and how we hope to bring this extraordinary material to the forefront of contemporary design and manufacture. Please come and visit us on stand TG16. You will be surprised at what you see!!!! Here's a little something to get you thinking!!!!

Students spent two happy days creating a one off piece of work based on the title 'Decorative Networks'. These are the results although some of the work in these pictures still need to have the soluble film dissolved, but it gives you a good idea of how stunning the work will be.
