Colton Weber presents at the KIZ & Other Tax Credits Seminar

On Wednesday, May 13th JARI hosted a KIZ & Other Tax Credits Seminar.

Colton Weber, Economic Development Consultant II, from the PA Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED), thoroughly covered the KIZ program with an overview, the requirements, how and where to register and how credit can be applied. The KIZ program aids entrepreneurs, newly formed start-up companies and mature companies in identifying and capitalizing on new ideas and opportunities.

Lindsey Bennett, Marketing Director, KIZ Resources, LLC, presented an overview of other tax credit programs that are available. To see a list of these programs, please

Finally, Michele Clapper, VP Economic Development, JARI, provided an overview of the Microloan Program and highlighted some of the microloan clients. Click here for more information regarding the Microloan Program.

Showcase for Commerce Details Announced

The 25th anniversary of Showcase for Commerce will be held May 27 through May 29.

A press conference was held on Tuesday at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena where Showcase officials outlined the agenda, announced event speakers and thanked Showcase sponsors.

Showcase provides a unique opportunity to connect with top acquisition leaders, public officials, major defense corporations and subcontractors and other potential business partners.
