On  Wednesday, January 18, from 6:30-8:30 PM , as an installment of Council Member Laurie A. Cumbo's Community Exchange Series, there will be a workshop on how to apply for city council funding for your non-profit organization at  Medgar Evers College, 1638 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn in the EOJ Auditorium .

At this workshop, Leora Estersohn, Managing Director of  The Non Profit HelpDesk, will go through the entire application, step-by-step. This hands-on workshop will cover exactly what you need to know in order to win city council funding for your non-profit organization.

Please note that the application to apply for grants from the New York City Council for Fiscal Year 2017 - 2018 is now open.  All interested applicants must submit their requests by February 21st, 2017  on the New York City Council's  website . No late applications will be accepted.

All arts and cultural organizations seeking fiscal support form the Department of Cultural Affairs should note that all applications must be received by February 13th, 2017.
