Operation Oliver with the 6th Branch
Sunday, April 01, 2012
1:00 to 4:00 PM

JVC Young Adults will join up with volunteers from the 6th Branch and THE ASSOCIATED's Sustainability Initiative for this large-scale beautification project.  The 6th Branch is a volunteer organization made up of young United States military veterans who bring their military style approach to volunteering in Baltimore.   THE ASSOCIATED's Sustainability Initiative is designed to educate Jewish Baltimore about the impact and import of creating a more sustainable future.

Volunteers will meet in the Oliver neighborhood of Baltimore City, an area known for vacant homes, poverty, and crime.  We will join with community members for projects involving garbage removal, landscaping, beautification, community art, and tree planting/greenspace creation as part of a larger effort to revitalize the neighborhood of Oliver.  Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome to participate.
