Spanish Mayors Visit JLTV
As part  of Spain's recent effort to reconnect and recover Spanish Jewish Heritage, twenty-four mayors of cities throughout Spain have launched Caminos de Sefarad or The Path of Sephardim. These leaders have concluded a major campaign to revitalize Spanish Jewish Quarters throughout the Iberian Peninsula. As part of this campaign, the senior leadership of Caminos de Sefarad traveled to the United States to introduce the Jewish-American community to the organization and present the fruits of their labor. This morning, this group paid a special visit to JLTV - Spanish Senator and Tortosa Mayor Ferran Bel i Accensi, Avila Mayor Hector Palencia, Tarazona Mayor Luis Maria Beamonte Mesa, Tudela Mayor Luis Casada Oliver and Secretary General of Caminos de Sefarad Assumpcio Hosta Rebes. Launches in One Week
On June 18th, America's Chosen Network will be launching JLTV World News, the only English-language newscast produced in the State of Israel. This daily newscast will provide you with up-to-date coverage about the Jewish community in the United States, in Israel and around the World. JLTV becomes one of just fifteen national networks to provide a daily newscast.

On this day, June 11th, 1876....
President Ulysses S. Grant attends the consecration of "Adas Israel," a new synagogue in Washington, DC. President Grant is known as the Union Civil War General who issued "General Order No. 11," which expelled all Jews from Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi. Upon learning of this Order, President Abraham Lincoln revoked it.
