VOLUNTEERING
Get involved! Volunteer services are always needed. Next time you don't feel like running, volunteer. Offering to help out takes only a few hours a month. All Members are invited to participate, and who knows...you may even make a few new best friends in the process. Work/Volunteer at four or more events and receive a discount to the JSRC Holiday Party!

A Jersey Trail Classic!
36th HASHaTHON 6-Mile Race
The 36th HASHaTHON 6-Mile Trail Race is this coming Sunday, November 8, 2015!
This race is a long-standing tradition and lots of fun. This year there are a few new thing being introduced, like a new upgrade option for shirts. You can get a  Hashathon limited edition Long Sleeve  Tech shirt   (All Race day shirt sales - while supplies last.) or not. You can sign up for just the race with no shirt, or the race with a shirt or upgrade your shirt!

The course encompasses winding wooded trails, gullies, footbridges, small streams, mud, fallen trees, leaves, varmints, and several eco-systems. You will run through cedar forest & beautiful wetlands. It is tough, challenging and hilly, but most everyone finishes intact.

Note: You are encouraged to bring any of your leftover Halloween candy.

Entry Fee: $15.00         
Race Day Registration: 9:30 a.m.
1-Mile Fun Run: 10:30 a.m.         
6-Mile Trail Race: 11:00 a.m.

Awards:
3 Overall, 3 deep in 10-year Age groups through 80! Additional fun awards: Muddiest, Bloodiest, and so forth. Special Raffle and other prizes.  

Location/Directions:
Cheesequake State Park Exit 120 off GSP 
Follow signs to the Pavilion at the lake 
ALTERNATE DIRECTIONS DUE TO CONSTRUCTION at GSP Exit 120
If you are traveling from the Shore Area north on the GSP, we recommend that you continue past Exit 120. Get off at the Cheesequake Rest area.
Go to the Cheesequake Rest Stop, 
Make a U turn at the commuter lot or just beyond the gas station and get on the GSP heading SB (local lanes). Take Exit 120 and follow signs. Then it is all right turns to get to the park.  Then left at the T-intersection within the park (following signs for the lake)

We still need course marshals at the lake no later than 9:30 a.m. Folks that are involved with set up in the morning need to be at the pavilion around 8 am. 
Johnny Mac's House of Spirits Train Run - Gobbler Express
All Aboard!
Sunday, November 15, 2015  takes off at 10:58 a.m.
208 Main Street | Asbury Park, NJ

The Gobbler Express train leaves the station at 10:58 a.m.
Check in:
Starts at 9:30 AM at Johnny Mac's, located at  
208 Main Street in Asbury Park - across from train station

Registration will be open until train is full. 
Must register by Thursday, November 5 to get a shirt.
Registration: $30. 
Race Day Registration: $30 - NO shirt and may have to buy train ticket at station. We will have extra shirts available for only $10.
Race Details
Take the Train from Asbury Park, then run back along the Boardwalks to Johnny Mac's House of Spirits. 
Your choice of one to six+ miles.
Post Run Party includes: Pizza and Beer/Soda, Lots of  Costume and Random Prizes.

This is a fun run - Roads will not be closed. Course Marshals & Police will be on the course.  
Course:
Flat, 2 mile run/walk through the streets of Lake Como & Spring Lake 
Amenities:
Tee Shirts to all pre-registered runners/walkers
Post Registrants while supplies last
Post run/walk Buffet & Drink Specials

Shore AC Cross Country Series
Week 5, Shark River
 
Great turnout of JSRC Team on October 31, for Week 5 at Shark River. Next up is final race on November 7 - Holmdel park, of course!
 9am, $7. 
Come on out and be part of the team!  All all welcome to join in the fun!
JSRC Deal Trick or Trot - 
The combination of the two races proved to be a great success, with over 200 participants in the 5K, Kid's Races and Petwalk, on Sunday, October 25.
JSRC Weekly Club Runs
Run one of the Club Runs near you!
Running with a group is very motivating and a great way to meet fellow members! It's also a good way to keep your running on track in the cold winter months. All paces are welcome.

Sunday Run
Middletown: We meet at Bodman Park just off Navesink River Road at 8:00 a.m. Meet at the Clubhouse (Market Street, Middletown). Groups run from 6 to 22 miles mostly on trails through Hartshorne Woods Park & Huber Woods & the surrounding areas with scenic views.There are water stops & refreshments at the end. There is also the opportunity to walk on Sunday mornings. The distance is six miles & start time is variable. 

Tuesday Run
We meet at the Windmill across from Seven President's Park in Long Branch at 6:15 p.m. We do a 4-6 mile run along the boardwalk and around Lake Takanassee passing the Dr. George Sheehan Memorial.

Wednesday Run - New!
Ocean Grove: 6:00 p.m. Meet by the Barbaric Bean on Main. Great attendance and numbers are growing. Distances vary as well as paces

Thursday Run
Belmar: Morning
Belmar Evening: Fifth Ave and Ocean, Park along lake it's free! Run starts at 6:00 p.m. sharp!  I f you need to confirm for Thursday please email Marty.

Saturday Run
Spring Lake: We meet at the south end of the Spring Lake Boardwalk at 8:00 a.m.
