Pima County JTED after-school/evening classes cancelled today

Student safety is always the number one priority at Pima County JTED. Superintendent/CEO Alan L. Storm, Ph.D., announced that all afternoon and evening classes at the District's Central Campus locations are cancelled for today, Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014. 

 

Pima County JTED staff will remain at all campuses until 5 p.m. to ensure that any students who do arrive to campus will be offered shelter until safe transportation can be arranged. 

 

All students, parents and guardians are being notified by the district with an automated message system. The District's staff will also be sent home early to ensure their safety. 

 

Campuses affected by today's closure are:

JTED @ Camino Seco

JTED @ Master Pieces

JTED @ Empire

JTED @ Santa Rita

JTED @ Amphi Land Lab

 

The Pima County JTED provides Career and Technical Education programs to approximately 1,700 high school sophomores, juniors and seniors at eight central campus locations in Tucson, and one in Sells, AZ. It also offers its programs to approximately 18,000 students each year at all traditional public high schools in Pima County, San Manuel, and Rio Rico. Students who are under 22 years of age and live within the boundaries of a Pima County JTED member district may attend JTED/CTE programs regardless of other school enrollment or graduation status.
