This month it's a nun with a gun, a deadly piece of chocolate, five escaped inmates, a visit with the rich and infamous, a classic fairy tale and a ribbon cutting ceremony. What more do you want?

Monthly News & Updates
As we approach the year's halfway point I'm noticing we're all over the map. But considering our ambitions and the demands on our time and our audience-tested shows, I guess it couldn't be any other way.

June starts with two oldies but goodies, Murder by Chocolate and Murder at the Mic...two shows that refuse to die. Lucky for us they both remain popular as fundraising tools.

For the first time in our 19 year history we're making waves. Murder at the Mansion, another chestnut that revives itself every quarter, can be seen on the Pride of Hudson, a cruise boat that leaves from the banks of Hudson River in Newburgh, New York.

In addition to our "on the road" activities, both Murder Cafe and Theatre on the Road are digging in to our new home at Arts at the Chocolate Factory in Red Hook, New York. For updates on performances, classes and workshops planned at the new space visit www.artsatthefactory.com. And once your interest is piqued you can join us for a special performance of Murder at the Mansion on June 11th and a Red Hook Chamber mixer we are sponsoring on June 22nd.

Reservation information and details for all of June events are below. We hope to see you at one of them, and if not, stay in touch. Your comments and suggestions are always appreciated.

Murder by Chocolate

Danny Crunkle, owner of Dan-Dee-Can-Dee, is merging with Hershel Crackleberry his biggest competitor. Danny's dinner guests include his soft son Junior, nutty ex-wife Sister Hazel, creamy girlfriend Lola, crunchy attorney Marsha Mallow and brittle chocolatier Rollo Goodbahr. Before your salad is served someone will poison Danny's sweet deal and you're either a suspect or a witness to murder!

The year is 1890 and the Vanderbilts dominate Dutchess County society. Your evening begins when Frederick and Mrs. Vanderbilt host a summer garden party; you'll mingle with their wealthy neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. John Astor IV, as well as Vassar professor Percy Longfellow. You'll be fussed over by loyal butler, Horace, and fortune-hunting maid, Charlene. Katherine Kerry, a reporter on the scene, observes much more than glitz and gaiety when she witnesses a murder.
