Jackals Add Two To The Pack
Driedger and Frederick Sign; Koger Loaned to National Team
ELMIRA, N.Y. - April 3, 2014 - The Elmira Jackals announced today that rookie goaltender Chris Driedger (DREJ-er) has signed an amateur tryout and rookie forward Will Frederick has signed a standard players' contract. Additionally, the club announced today that Daniel Koger has been loaned to the Hungarian national team for the World Championships.
Chris Driedger was selected in the third round (76th overall) by the Ottawa Senators in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Driedger, 19, joins the Jackals following the completion of his junior season with the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native was the Ottawa Senators' third round draft pick (76th overall) in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-foot-3 200-pound netminder finished his junior career as the Hitmen's all-time saves leader with 3,773 stops over three seasons in Calgary. Driedger surpassed current Los Angeles Kings' goalie, and former saves record holder, Martin Jones with his 3,375th stop on February 1. Driedger finished this season fifth in the WHL in save percentage (.918) and tied for seventh in wins (28). In 170 career WHL games Driedger has compiled a record of 94-46-15 including eight shutouts.

The Allison Park, Pennsylvania native recorded 59 points (20 goals, 39 assists) in 145 career NCAA games.
