Troy Rutkowski returns for his third stint with the Jackals.
Rutkowski, 21, returns for his third stint with the Jackals. He began the season with Binghamton and played in four contests. He scored his first professional goal with the Senators on October 20, 2013 against Bridgeport. Rutkowski was reassigned by Ottawa to Elmira and played three games for the Jackals before he was recalled by Ottawa to Binghamton on November 3. The rookie defenseman appeared in two more contests with Binghamton. Rutkowski made a brief return to Elmira and earned his first ECHL point, an assist, on November 22, 2013. The next day Ottawa reassigned him to Binghamton and he logged two additional games with the Senators.

Rutkowski signed with Ottawa as a free agent on March 14, 2013. He ranked second among WHL defensemen in assists and points and was third in goals during the 2012-13 season for the Portland Winterhawks of the WHL. The Edmonton native was originally drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2010 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
Rookie defenseman Harry Radovich has been signed by the Jackals.

Additionally the Jackals announced today that rookie defenseman Harry Radovich has been signed by the team. Radovich, 23, comes to Elmira after starting the 2013-14 campaign with the Pensacola Ice Flyers of the Southern Professional Hockey League. The Rumson, NJ native has played in seven games with the Ice Flyers and logged two assists. Prior to turning pro, Radovich recorded 42 points (6 goals, 36 assists) and 83 penalty minutes in 90 career games with NCAA Division-III Hobart College. He is listed at 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds.

Finally the Jackals announced today that Artem Demkov has been loaned to the Albany Devils of the American Hockey League, and that defenseman Marvin Degon has been waived. Demkov, who leads the Jackals with 10 goals and 12 points, has received the first promotion to the AHL in his career. He attended training camp with Albany this year. Degon, meanwhile, had five assists in 12 games with Elmira and was a -6.

Rutkowski and Radovich have arrived in Elmira and are expected to be available to play in this week's games against the Fort Wayne Komets at First Arena.
