 Referee Clinic

Make some MONEY this summer by working as a referee during our summer recreational league.  JHYS is sponsoring a FREE clinic to earn a Grade 8 referee license, allowing you to Center for both recreational and competitive games. The clinic will be held on June 12th at the Jackson Town Council Chambers from 8-5pm. Players ages 12 and above are encouraged to attend. JHYS is paying for the instructor, lunch AND your first year's registration fee so take advantage of this great opportunity!  You can register for the clinic via the club's website or by clicking on this link: Referee Clinic

JHYS Seeks Club

Hotel Coordinator

Our club Hotel Coordinator, Diane Gilmore, will be stepping down after this spring season, so we are looking for someone who would like to be our new travel coordinator. During the planning for each season, Carlos and the coaches meet to decide which tournaments each team will attend. Then the hotel coordinator books blocks of rooms for the teams for each tournament and passes the hotel information on to the team managers.  If you are very organized, like to make phone calls and enjoy the "thrill of the hunt" for the most suitable hotel accommodations, please contact the soccer office at 200-6034. We'd love to talk to you about the position.

Frequent Flyer Miles?
Do you know someone who racks up thousands of frequent flyer miles? Our club would sincerely appreciate the donation of flyer miles that we could use to pay for flights.  We are hoping to get "surprise" entertainment from Los Angeles for our summer camp and would like to include airfare in a couple of our raffle prizes for the Soccer Ball Fundraiser.  If you can help, please contact Jolene Moulder at the soccer office, 307-200-6034.

Hi everyone and welcome to JHYS April Newsletter. Jolene and I would like to thank all our families for registering on line and for using GotSoccer. It has helped us out tremendously. Thank you.

Soccer gets started for all our U11, U12, U13, and U14 teams this week. Two of our teams will represent JHYS in Pocatello this coming weekend. Next week all of our U10, U8, Grassroots, and Minikickers will start April 18th.

It is great to finally have the official season here and everyone at JHYS looks forward to seeing you on the fields.

All the best,

Carlos Elizondo

2011 soccer ball postcard 3rd Annual

JHYS will host a fabulous party on Saturday, May 14th, at Sidewinders Tavern.  It's our 3rd Annual Soccer Ball Fundraiser with the proceeds going towards "keeping the ball rolling" for the club.  Please invite your friends to join you for this special evening of food and libations, fun and friendship. Event tickets are $75.

The night will also include the drawings for our Fantastic Raffle that offers a "buyer's choice" of a dozen raffles in one. This year's raffle packages include a Weekend Warrior Ski Pass, Teton Springs Golf for 4, a Dinner Party for 4 at Snake River Grill, student driving lessons from JH Driving Academy, and a private Exum Grand Teton Tour for 2, among others. Choose one, choose your favorites, choose them ALL! Raffle tickets are just $10 or 12 for $100, and you need not be present to win. Both event and raffle tickets will be available on the website, at the soccer office and at Betty Rock Cafe.

If you would like to help with the planning of the event or offer an item/service for a raffle package, please contact Jolene Moulder at the soccer office, 307-200-6034.

Hosts Needed

Would you be able to host a coach during one of our summer camps?  JHYS already has plans made for two summer camps and we are looking for housing for out-of-town guest club directors and college coaches.  If we can provide housing, our costs will be greatly reduced, benefitting the entire club by allowing us to keep the camp fees affordable. The first session is Tuesday-Friday, July 5th-8th, 2011, and the second session is Monday-Thursday, August 1st-4th.  If you have a guest house, guest room, or commercial lodging that you could provide to a coach, please contact Carlos or Jolene at the soccer office, 200-6034.
