A Successful Winter Sports Season
Dear Salisbury Academy Families:

This weekend marked the completion of a successful winter sports season! A big thank you to Coach Wilson for his leadership, and to our coaches, players, and pep squad for a fantastic season.

As another critical piece to SA's athletics program, none of this would be possible without the hard work and energy of our SA Booster Club. Thank you to the Booster Club for your assistance running the games held on campus and for the many other ways in which you support SA athletics!

I'd also like to recognize the All-Conference players from this past season. For the boys: The Conference MVP was Hank Webb, and Chris Portillo, Will Webb, Avery Arnez, and Jack Wear were All-Conference. For the girls: The conference MVP was Camille Palmer, and Madelyne Lawrence, Destiny Richardson, Maggie Antosek, and Millie Wymbs were All-Conference.

All of the basketball teams finished strong with conference championships won for the JV boys and varsity girls, and JV girls and varsity boys finished as conference runner-ups. Congratulations to all!

Sincerely,

Beverly Fowler, Head of School

Celebrating the 100th Day of School: Time flies when you're having fun!
First Grade Teacher Mrs. Jody Robins shares:

First and second grade students celebrated the 100th day of school together this week!  The students were split into small groups and rotated through math, science, art, and movement centers that were created by the teachers.

Throughout the day, first grade students reflected on some of their favorite things that they have learned so far this year.  They mentioned how much they have loved learning about classic fairy tales, exploring outer space, and writing like the Egyptians using hieroglyphics.  They also took some time to reminisce about some of the field trips they have been on.

One student said, "Oh yeah, remember when we rode the bus to see 'Pete the Cat,'" and all the other students laughed and cheered at the memory.  The students voted unanimously that the favorite trip is their monthly visit to read with their book buddies at TLC.

Time flies when you're having fun!
