Bringing down the house at Grandpersons' Day 2017!
Dear Salisbury Academy Families,

Our Jaguar students brought the house down with a soulful performance at Grandpersons' Day on Friday. With a record-breaking crowd in attendance, Dr. Rob and his students led us through the "journey of rock" in a memorable way including a finale that had us all clapping and swaying to the music. We would like to say thank you to Kurt Richter and his team of parent volunteers for providing refreshments, decorations, and a warm, friendly setting to enjoy this special day. A big thank you to Bryan Wymbs, Chris Moss, Will Goodnight, Tommy Wilson, Christopher McCoy, and Brad Williams for their work in getting everyone safely parked.

Our 25th year anniversary set the stage to recognize our grandparents who had both children and now grandchildren attend the school, and to honor two families who share the record for most number of grandchildren (six!) at SA.

Our day culminated with many of our families and guests going out for a first look at our wonderful, new outdoor learning and play space. The excitement seen on the faces of the children tells the story of the great appreciation we have for the donors who have made this project possible. Our official first day of play will be on Monday!  We do still have some areas that are newly seeded and need to establish before we can open this outside of the school hours. We look forward to making this announcement soon and offering a time where our families can bring a picnic and just enjoy the opportunity to play together.

Sincerely,

Beverly Fowler, Head of School
