SPECIAL GUEST PERFORMERS
BEEN THERE, STILL THERE
ON THE PATRICIA NEAL STAGE
Saturday, May 6 at 7:30 pm

Second City Main Stage alums BRUCE JARCHOW (Parks and Recreation / Boss / Seinfeld / Ghost) and NANCY MCCABE-KELLY (Web series Teachers on the Onion Channel / Welcome! To Prison / TBS Comedy Festival, Just for Laughs) are bringing their highly praised show BEEN THERE, STILL THERE to the Playhouse for ONE NIGHT ONLY.

This short show follows a baby boomer couple on a road trip to Wisconsin for a destination wedding. Along the way they ponder empty nest angst, becoming victims of both urban gentrification and illogical technology, and anything else that comes to mind, with the local radio and nostalgia of Wisconsin as their backdrop. Though this is a scripted show, each performance is slightly different as they expound, riff and allow themselves to go off script as the spirit (and audience) moves them. A discussion with the actors follows the performance.

TICKETS $20 ($15 Juniors under 30 yrs old) - Cash or Check at the Door Only

A New Play by Catherine Rush & Adrian Blue
Directed by Adrian Blue
The world is inching toward the 20th
century, but no one at the Chilmark General Store thinks much about mainland issues. Here, up-island on Martha's Vineyard, the people are a world unto themselves. Almost every family has kin who are deaf-mute and every person in town speaks with their hands as well as their voices. Until one day an off-islander arrives and incites discord and division between good neighbors and lifelong friends.
Performed simultaneously in American Sign Language and English, CHILMARK is based on the 2007 Playhouse production of THIS ISLAND ALONE.
