Last year I decided to participate in the Special Olympics NH Get Fit for Sport Challenge. It is a program designed to motivate people of all ages to be physically active on a regular basis by participating in activities they enjoy.
I wanted to do this program and be in shape for the SONH Rail Trail Rally which takes place at
Proctor Academy. I wanted to do the 20 mile bike ride. So I set my mind to it and I
pushed myself to work out and every day I would bike too.
I never gave up. There were days where I didn't want to do it, but I thought to myself, "you have come so far, do not give up," and I didn't! The program started August 29th and went until October 1st. Since the challenge started, I've lost 70 lbs! I feel amazing about myself. It has been a challenge, but it shows me that I am capable of doing whatever I set my mind too.
