2016, A Year in Review
2016 was a milestone year for Autism Cares Foundation.  From our record breaking Spring Gala and Race for Resources, to the opening of our Adult Services Division, 2016 was a year of tremendous growth and excitement!
January
In January, we started with our annual Swimming event at the YMCA and brought back an old favorite, Monster Mini Golf!  We also continued with our monthly Bounce U Langhorne and Horsham, as well as our weekly Fitness Program.
February
February ushered in some events that we love including the return of Glee Club, our annual Valentine's Dance held at the NAC, and Roller Skating!

March
March came in like a lion with a Sensory Friendly Movie, our annual Irish Social Dance and an Ice Cream Social!
April
April's showers didn't bother us, we were busy with a Pampered Chef party, Fitlife, and the launch of our Recorder Program, offered by a young lady who achieved her Girl Scout Silver award.  During Autism Awareness Month, we also had many fundraisers including the annual AOH Autism Puzzle Walk, Salad Works Fundraiser, Hatery Stove and Still Burger Fundraiser, and a few book signings all benefiting ACF!

May
May started off with our annual Spring Gala, MC'd by Jim Donovan of CBS 3 news, where we honored Jill Schweizer for her support, commitment and dedication to the special needs community.

We also hosted our annual Prom, and a Circle Speech Communication Seminar.
June
June didn't slow us down!  We offered iPad programs, hosted our Glee Club concert, and introduced our Fitlife Youth Program. We also learned about Fire safety at our Hatboro Technology Lab and enjoyed Finding Dory at a Sensory Friendly Movie.

July

We sure were hot in July!  We launched our Adult Services Division and brought on board Beth Garrison, CEO and Mary Pagel, Program Specialist, of the Adult Services Division.  We also introduced Marlene de la Cruz as our newest Board member.
August
August was a month full of the fundraisers!!! We are so thankful to Dynasty Sports, Fallsington Softball, Pineville Tavern and Clementon Park and Splash World for all of their support!
September
In September, we participated in Northampton Days parade, hosted our Back to School Social Dance and launched a new event, The Little Gym!  We also had a fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse, hosted a Special Needs Planning Seminar with NY Life and had our first Paint Night, sponsored
by Zoes Kitchen.
October
October didn't cool us off, and brought us Music Therapy Programs, our annual Hayride and our annual Halloween Party.  Beth Garrison and Kim Smith, of ACF, were featured on Comcast Newsmakers.
November
November was another record breaking month where our Race for Resources reached for the stars and raised over $115,000 hosting more than 2,500 people on a brisk morning!!

This was closely followed by our annual COACH Bingo which was a HUGE success and so much fun!
December
Lastly, December offered us much joy hosting our Holiday Party for almost 500 friends and families!  We also introduced a new event, Action Karate, and continued with 21+ Fun Club.

Volunteer of the Month- Cara Bagnarelli

The Autism Cares Foundation volunteers are truly an amazing group and  extremely important to the success of our events.

This month, we'd like to congratulate Cara Bagnarelli as one of our outstanding volunteers.

Cara has been with the foundation since 2014, volunteering at many of the events include the Halloween Dance, Hayride, a Painting event, the Race for Resources, Coach Bingo and the recent Holiday Party.

She currently attends Holy Family College where she puts her heart and soul into recruiting volunteers from the club that she is involved in to help at the various ACF events.  Cara is extremely dedicated to ACF, a hard worker, energetic, and a caring volunteer.

Thank you, Cara, for all you do!  I am so proud to have you as our January volunteer of the month.

If you would like to be a "Friend of the Foundation" check out our  volunteer opportunities.
