OUR MISSION:
St. Rita School inspires students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade eight to achieve academic excellence in a safe, nurturing and faith-filled Catholic environment.
We prepare students to be morally responsible, innovative thinkers who, in today’s technology-guided global community, live and share the Love of Christ.
From the desk of Mrs. Tiezzi
Dear SRS Parents,

Today via ‘student-mail’  I sent all families a very brief notice regarding our on-line NEASC Parent Survey. Your assistance is needed to prepare our self-study report and the Parent Survey data is an important part of our self-study. Please follow the link below located under the heading NEASC Parent Survey to complete this very brief survey.  Today, you  will also receive an email from Mrs. Rourke and Mrs. Halloran with a link to the survey. Please just complete the survey once. Thank you in advance for your input.

Please join us for our annual celebration of National Catholic Schools Week, beginning on Sunday, January 28. We will be kicking off Catholic Schools Week (January 28-February 3) with two student led Masses. The 9:00 Mass on Sunday, January 28 at St. Stephen Church and the 11:30 Mass on Sunday, January 28 at St. Rita Church. Students are asked to wear their school uniforms to show their school pride to either Mass and receive a free dress day coupon from Fr. Joe. Please see Mrs. Tiezzi, Sr. Anne or Mrs. Testa at Mass to receive your coupon.

This year’s CSW theme-“Catholic Schools: Learn, Serve, and Lead”-highlights our focus on academic excellence, faith development, and dedication to community service. We’ve planned a variety of events to show how we are doing as a community at St. Rita School.  You are also cordially invited to attend the First Friday Mass (8:45 A.M.) on February 2 followed by an Open House for current parents from 10:00-11:00 in the school.
A more detailed listing of the CSW activities will be sent home in next week’s newsletter.

On Thursday, February 15 students in grades 5-8 will hear a presentation on Internet Safety Concepts from well known speaker, Scott Driscoll. Scott will also put on a parent presentation, open to all St. Rita School parents, at 7:00 P.M. that same evening. This program shows parents the good and possible pit falls of today’s popular applications. Topics covered will be social networking, cyber bullying, texting/sexting, trending apps, picture sharing, digital footprints, parental controls and resources. We look forward to having  you join us on Thursday, February 15 at 7:00 P.M. for this very important and enlightening 90 minute presentation.

Thank you for entrusting your child/children to our care. Have a great week and remember there are only 62 days left until Spring!

God Bless,
Mrs. Tiezzi
