2016...A Brand New Year
Here we are at the beginning of a brand new year. Pastor Joel Jenkins has agreed to be our Interim Pastor starting this January and continuing through the month of June. He will be teaching a class on Wed. nights after the Fellowship Dinner. The dinner and classes will begin again on January 13 at  6 PM. The Pastor Search team is meeting every Monday night and have been receiving resumes and referrals. They ask that you keep them in prayer as they work together to discern God's will for our church body, concerning calling a new Senior Pastor. Work has begun on renovating the Education Building making space available for both offices for staff and classrooms. Please pray for our Pastor Search Team, for all the Staff, the members of the Leadership Council, all our faithful volunteers and our whole church body as we seek to glorify God in all that we do.  God Bless you and your family this New Year 2016 as we all join together to live out our Church's mission--- to know God's Word, to show His Love and to grow His Kingdom!
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the  Lord, 'My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I  trust." (Psalm 91:1-2)
WORSHIP
This past Advent/Christmas season was an amazing time of celebrating "Jesus... God's Promise for Everyone." Every week a character from the Nativity story helped us to understand the faithfulness of our God...way back then and today! We had a "standing-room-only" Christmas Eve Candlelight Service that made Jesus birth the focal point of Christmas in a very meaningful way. Special thanks to Julie Nelms who helped to create our Advent & Christmas Themes. As we begin this New Year we have so much to look forward to. I believe God is inviting us to go deeper and higher with him in this coming year. God is faithful and we can trust he has many good things in store for us!

Closings and Cancellations
Just a note that if inclement weather hits us and services or church events are postponed, a notice will be sent out through Constant Contact email, a voice-mail message will be on the church office phone, and time permitting, notices should also be posted on Channel 29. Always be safe!!!

 'The Spirit Comes'
led by Kelly Bauer

We are studying the Book of Acts.  The focus is "The Christian community Comes Alive." The study is about the first church and how the Holy Spirit empowered the disciples to spread the Gospel.
We meet in the classroom at the end of the hall of the Education Building.

"Are These The Last Days?" by Charles P. Schmitt
 led by Annette Cox

Solomon says in Proverbs 4:18 that we can expect an increase in enlightenment and an expansion of understanding as we approach the last days.
That is Charles P. Schmitt's position as he presents a fresh scrutiny of Old and New Testament prophetic scriptures in the light of today's world events. He traces not only the conflict between Israel and the Arab world but also their amazing last-days promises of restoration. At all times he underscores the primary backdrop for any Christian view of the last days: worldwide evangelism before the end comes.
ReCharge
Youth Grades 6-12 are invited to ReCharge every Sunday night from 5-7 PM. Bring your friends and come out for a night of fun, games, Bible study and fellowship. Dinner will be provided. Any questions, contact Christian Rutherford.
