Pastor Mary Laymon, a certified facilitator in Brene Brown's "Daring Way" and "Rising Strong" workshops, will lead us in conversation about the work of the noted writer during the course of two retreats: February 6-10 will be "Gifts of Imperfection"; February 10-12 will be "Rising Strong". A flyer for the two workshops can be found here.
"We are hard-wired for connection" is Brown's way of saying that God created us for life-giving relationships. Indeed, learning how to love well is our life's work. She has spent her career studying how we connect in our relationships, and what gets in the way of love. In her book, The Gifts of Imperfection, Brown offers ten guideposts for living a "Whole-Hearted" life. Join us for a 5 day workshop as we discuss these guideposts and consider how we can cultivate them in our day to day lives. (Maximum of 20 participants)
"Gifts of Imperfection" workshop begins Monday, February 6 with 8.30 am arrival and concludes on Friday, February 10 at 3 pm.
Cost is $350 per person plus $20 for supplies.
In the seocnd workshop, we will study what Brown learned about how the 'wholehearted' rise strong after failure. The retreat will provide practical tools to engage those moments in one's life when living brave leads to a struggle.
"Rising Strong" Retreat begins Friday with dinner at 6 pm and concludes on Sunday at 3 pm.
