Homeowner Opportunities

Habitat for Humanity is a partnership where families are involved in all aspects of building their future. In addition to an escrow deposit, Habitat for Humanity partner families are required to invest 300 hours of "sweat equity".  Homeowner mortgage payments are paid into a revolving fund which helps support the construction of new homes.  Please  click here  to go to our website to view additional information.

We invite you to attend a Homeowner Information Meeting at our office, located at 1750 Manzana Avenue, PG. Upcoming monthly meeting dates are scheduled at 
2:30 p.m. on 
February 20 and March 20.

Need to fill volunteer positions:
Construction especially Wednesdays through Fridays
Donation center assistance 10-3 Monday through Friday
Murdock resale store Port Charlotte Monday through Saturday

Additional Volunteer Needs
  • OFFICE (reception, data entry, projects etc. Monday through Friday)
  •     SHIPPING AND RECEIVING - telephone assistant  volunteer needed in Punta Gorda (Tues., Wed. or Thurs.)
  • New DONATION Center volunteers needed (intake gently used items & process) Varied days & shifts
  • RESALE STORE - variety of positions including warehouse, sort housewares or clothing, be a greeter or help customers with their purchases!  
  • Monday - Saturday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm or work a ½ day shift!  Four store locations available

    Do you have talent testing electrical items, lighting, fans or appliances? We need help in these areas!
Students:
  • Earn hours for your Bright Futures College Scholarship!
  • Spend time helping others in the community AND earn a reference letter!
Members of the Community:
  • Become involved with like-minded individuals!
