Want to get hands on with helping babies in need? ShareBaby provides diapers, clothing and gear to highly effective community organizations working to ensure Baltimore's young children get the best start in life! Come help us with gear sorting and diaper wrapping at the warehouse! Our volunteer sessions are a great way to spend some time giving back to children in need in Baltimore. Unless otherwise noted, our sessions are family-friendly. There is space for small children to play/do activities and generally children six and up are able to help with sorting and/or diaper wrapping. Snacks and water will be provided. We suggest that you dress comfortably and wear layers in case you need to adjust to the temperature of the space
.
Ages: Families with children of all ages are welcome to volunteer.

Warm Hearts & Warm Coats Drive
Burlington Coat Factory

Collect and donate gently-used or like-new winter coats to the Warm Hearts & Warm Coats Drive. This collaboration is part of an ongoing effort to ensure no individual goes without a warm coat during the cold winter months. Each year the Warm Coats & Warm Hearts Coat Drive relies on the generosity and compassion of Burlington customers across the country. In partnership with ABC's Good Morning America and the national non-profit organization K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers, Burlington collects gently-worn coats in all its store locations and works with local agencies to distribute the coats to those most in need within the community. Having completed its 9th year, the coat drive has collected well over 1.5 million coats!

ShareBaby Gear and Diaper Drop-Off

ShareBaby provides diapers, clothing and gear to highly effective community organizations working to ensure Baltimore's young children get the best start in life! Please only donate items that are washed, free of stains/rips, and in new or good condition. It is only with your help that we are able to ensure that every item ShareBaby distributes is something that you would give or use with your own children or ones you love. We accept new AND open packs of diapers. Wipes and diaper cream must be new. We have an especially high need for diapers in sizes 3, 4, 5, & 6. Please be sure to
review the list of items we do/do not accept before you come.
Drop Off Instructions:

- Call 667.212.3455 when you arrive and a ShareBaby team member will come out to assist you
- Tax receipts are available upon request

East Baltimore's MLK Day of Service
The 6th Branch
Date/Time: Monday, January 15, 9am - 1pm
Location: 1801 E. Oliver St., Baltimore
Join us for our 7th annual community service event in East Baltimore honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The event is hosted by the New Broadway East Community Association and organized by The 6th Branch. We will be meeting on the Food Hub of Baltimore campus. Parking is on the street around the meeting area. We will be conducting several light demolition, overgrowth removal, and large scale trash clean-up projects on multiple sites in Broadway East. Please dress in layers and be prepared for the cold. If you are planning on attending the day of service, please fill out the
online waiver here.
Ages: Everyone can participate. Families and children are absolutely welcome!

Bagged Dinner Food Donations
Catholic Charities - The Weinberg Housing and Resource Center
Date/Time: Flexible; call to schedule a drop-off
Location: 635 West Lexington St., Baltimore
Each night, about 150 guests board a shuttle on the way to an overflow shelter. The WHRC aims to provide a bag dinner each day for these guests -- at the minimum, a sandwich for each guest, but ideally a full bag dinner. Most of these guests won't eat if we don't feed them, so the support means a lot. Consider donating one of the following items, packing the bag dinners and dropping them off, or organizing a collection of full bag dinners. Any amount helps! One complete bagged dinner includes:
- A sandwich (PB&J or turkey - option to include cheese - white OR wheat bread okay)
- Juice box
- Bottle of water
- Orange or other fruit (no apples, please - many of our residents are unable to chew them)
- Snack (pretzels, chips, etc.)
- Dessert treat (cookie, brownie, etc.)
Please put any sandwiches in a plastic Ziploc-style bag, and put the dinner items in a brown paper bag. It's a great idea for families, groups or schools to decorate the paper bags, too.

Make No-Sew Blankets
Doing Good Together

Location: Your home or community
Enjoy a cozy family kindness project for a cold month! Your children can help make these simple, fleece blankets and provide comfort to a child in need. No sewing is required. Many local organizations would appreciate your donations of these easy-to-create fleece blankets. Check with hospitals, homeless shelters, care facilities, or police and fire stations to gauge interest. Or you can deliver them to your local chapter of
Project Linus or
Binky Patrol. These two groups will distribute them to organizations with the greatest need. Visit the
