Library News and Events
Happy New Year from the West Orange Public Library!

January is a time for new beginnings and, oh, those tricky New Year's resolutions! Did you know studies have shown about 80% of those resolutions are backsliding by February? Don't worry, the library is here to help! We constantly get in new books on maintaining a healthy diet and exercise, two of the most popular resolutions. We also have books, magazines, and a whole business section in the Reference Department to help with finances. If you've got a toddler, reluctant reader, or voracious reader the Library hosts story times, book clubs, and books for all ages and stages. Finally, tired of being stuck inside? Come down to the library and socialize during our first ever Recipe Share from the A-Z World Foods database. View the art in the meeting room while you're here!

During 2017, the library circulated over 190,000 items and the Reference librarians fielded over 12,000 questions. Last month, the library hosted its popular Winter Wonderland Story Time as a part of the Mayor's Holiday Celebration with a turnout of over 100 children! The library also hosted La Bella Musica's mandolin performance of Italian tunes. The Library's Board of Trustees voted in Lisa Fahoury as the new President for 2018.
-Please note: Reactivation of reserve requests will begin on January 8, 2018 due to unforeseen circumstances.-
