Greetings!
Happy New Year! I hope your January has been off to a great start!
My goal for our board this year is to walk, not run, and keep following the slogan I learned of from an industry mentor, Eileen Lynch - KISS (Keep it Simple Stupid). We all have many ideas on what we accomplished, but it’s important here to focus on quality and not quantity.
- February 25th - Take me out to the ball game! Join us at the Ball Park for the Palm Beaches for the 1:05pm game between the Nationals play the Braves. Watch for registration information and save the date! http://www.ballparkpalmbeaches.com.
- March 13th - The beautiful Weston Resort provides the perfect backdrop for our Spring Table Top Show. Suppliers register NOW for your early bird discount. Distributor registration will be available soon.
- April 3rd - join us at Epoly for a factory tour! Following the tour we will gather at Tavern by the Bay for a small supplier table top show and networking.
Two committees will be brought back to further the outreach of GCPPA – Kimberly Myers, CAS will chair the Charitable Committee. Using the tag line
GCPPA Gives Back
– our first event will be announced soon. Also, Ofelia Minagorri will chair our Past President’s Council. It will be good to have our Past Presidents, who have helped shape our 32-year existence, help grow our current leadership, volunteers and engage our valued supplier members.

Condolences
Our condolences to David Bloom on the loss of his father, f
ormer Miami judge Philip Bloom, famed for humor and humanity in courtroom. He is survived by his wife, his daughter, Anne Bloom, and his son, David Bloom.

Matthew Castillo
I have been in the industry and with Vantage since 2015. I worked my way up the ladder on the supplier side; starting from Customer Service, then transitioning into Inside Sales, and finally relocating to FL to fulfill an Outside Sales role in April 2017
For GCPPA, I am a new committee member that helps orchestrate social events in order to teach new (or experienced) members how the industry works, the benefits of being part of an organization that will help you build / grow your business, and help you generate new leads all while having a good time!
With the support of Vantage, I was given the opportunity to come to Florida to take on a new role, and master a new trade. The idea of change is often frightening, but when you work hard to create an opportunity to grow and yearn for success, not even the fear of change can challenge or deter you. I came to Florida to make a difference, to learn, and to overcome new obstacles in order to be the best at what I do so I can provide the best services to each and every one of my associates and customers.
I attended Montclair State University, graduating Cum Laude with a degree in Sociology and Psychology. In relation to sales, my degree has taught me one vitally important concept: building the strongest relationship with you, my customer, is the most important factor in helping you build your business all while enjoying our time doing so.
