Supply Chain Management Certification Program Makes its Return in 2018

The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development has launched seven Talent Development Centers (TDC) to promote partnerships between key industries and the state's colleges and universities. Each center will receive $1.2 million in state funds.

Union County College, formerly the TLD TDC, is now a training partner to the TLD TDC at Rowan University at Burlington County College. We are  offering credential-focused education and training leading to employment and career advancement, whether you are currently employed, a displaced/unemployed or disadvantaged worker.
We are seeking partnerships with New Jersey based employers who want:
  • Industry-valued credentials for existing team members
  • Recruitment of skilled and trained workers
  • Career path enhancing industry knowledge and skills
Funding for industry-specific training is a key element of this grant.
Our CSCMP Supply Chain Management curriculum of eight (8) 40-hour courses is our principle training program for entry-level or mid-level staff and managers in TLD and any sector where product moves across the globe or locally. Partner with us to bring these resources into your organization.

Local 24 is extremely proud to be a productive member of the Northern New Jersey business community and equally as proud of our charitable work in the community we serve. Since our inception, we've taken an active role and will continue to play an ever bigger role as our region continues to thrive as the premier area of our great state of New Jersey!
Our signatory contractors employ Local 24 members in many different construction applications. We work in the pharmaceutical, commercial, residential and commercial service, new residential construction and heavy industrial sectors of the construction industry.
Our workforce takes pride in partnering with our signatory contractors in providing sophisticated piping systems to the end user. From underground installation to final connections of fixtures and equipment, our plumbers are  required to have the attitude, as well as physical and mental skills necessary to get the job done right the first time.
Our journeymen and apprentices are among the best trained and highly skilled in the world. We offer continuing education classes on a regular basis to our journeymen to keep them at the forefront of the plumbing industry.
Our members are required to graduate from the UA Internationals certified and accredited Joint Apprenticeship Training Program which produces the
best Journeymen in the industry. This 5-year apprenticeship program requires an apprentice to have over 8,000 hours of on-the-job training as well as over 1,300 hours of classroom education. Upon graduation from the program our Apprentices can earn anywhere from 30-60 credits towards a Bachelor degree. Our Apprentices are instructed by certified instructors which means that you have the most qualified workforce at your disposal.
No matter how big or small the project, we promise a highly skilled, drug free commitment to ensure the customer a job that is on-time and on-budget.  
We do it right the first time, so when owners and developers in Northern New Jersey need to build new or expand existing facilities, they can count on the members of Local 24.
