A 2015 Chevrolet City Express Van

How is your donation money used? We are so excited to announce our purchase of a Chevrolet City Express van. This van is used for community educational outreach and has already been used to expand our services in the Pittsburgh Public Schools. The "Baby Van" is also used for fundraising and awareness programs. In addition, we designed a "wrap" so the van has dual duty as a traveling billboard. Look for us around town!

Millybutton founders support Genesis

Thank you to Elizabeth and Clareanne, founders of Millybutton, for coming to a Breastfeeding class at The Learning Center in Bellevue. The two shared their experience and gave a free Millybutton to attending students. Millybutton, is a Pittsburgh produced product that allows moms to make any shirt, a breastfeeding shirt without harming the material. To find out more about Millybutton follow this link.

Elizabeth said this about the experience:
"I have attended several breastfeeding classes over the years and I have to say
how impressed I am with the class that was given to the expecting mothers at
Genesis of Pittsburgh. The class was small and intimate. The content was not over whelming and the teacher (Patty) was genuine. She was candid about the challenges
of breastfeeding, yet encouraging as she explained how it is so worth it! I want to
thank the individuals who purchased a Millybutton to go to donation during our crowdfunding campaign. Millybutton llc. matched the contributions and a total of 15 Millybuttons were donated to the mothers of Genesis of Pittsburgh."

This month's featured class at the Learning Center is " New Year, New You"  This isn't a run of the mill New Year's Resolution class.  Students learn how to set goals throughout the year, not just in January.  More importantly, they learn how to stay on track so that those goals may be achieved.  If you are interested in this or any class at the Learning Center, check out our website or call 412.761.1845 for more information.
