We're so excited to reunite with our friends after a long holiday break! 2018 is a a new year filled with endless possibilities for learning and fun! In January our friends will be engaged in discussions about winter, hibernation, MLK Jr Day and so much more...

We will also be getting ready to celebrate the Chinese New Year, The Year of the Dog on February 25th with special performance and festivities. And before we know it, summer will be here. While it's cold outside, it's always warm in the classrooms!

This month our friends learned about winter and hibernation. We discussed where animals go when it's too cold to be outside. We also learned about Martin Luther King, Jr and his famous "I had a Dream" speech. We talked about our dreams and did a related project. This lesson tied in nicely with our monthly themes of Courage and Confidence! We also continued with out Tae Kwon Do lessons and monthly visits with Ms. Toni from the Warren Public Library. We loved the stories she read and had a blast with the puppets she brought us to play with! Smiles all around!

Our friends were glad to be back and ready to learn. This month, we celebrated MLK day and were taught about the importance of treating all people fairly and respectfully. We learned about winter and cold weather habitats -- building igloos out of miniature marshmallows and glue. We discussed penguins and and did a related craft project. For Pajama Day, we not only got to come to school in our comfy PJs but baked yummy cookies too -- a double treat! Lastly, we learned about our five senses though discussions and craft projects.
