Trudy Larson Instrument Fellowship
|
The Trudy Larson Instrument Fellowship was awarded to Delia Zaleski and Gavin Batsimm at the
Afternoon of Winter Concerts in December. The fellowship provides funds for the purchase of a musical instrument. Named for NMYO founder, Trudy Larson, this Fellowship is offered annually and made possible by a generous donor.
Delia, a member of the Select Flute Choir, will use the fellowship to purchase a piccolo. In addition to her musical pursuits, Delia is an honors student at Newburyport High School and is involved in the school's theater program. Gavin, co-concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra, is using the fellowship to help fund his new violin and bow. Outside of music, he is a member of the National Honor Society, the Andover High School Cross Country Team, and serves as Vice President of his school's Science Team.

Join Us - Coffee and Conversation Monday, Jan. 30, 5:00-6:30 pm
|
All NMYO families are invited to drop in to join the NMYO staff and board members for coffee and cookies. Get together with other NMYO parents for some social time! Trudy Larson will speak about what skills it takes for a musician to move from one ensemble to the next and can answer your questions about our June auditions for next year. Board members will also introduce our annual Mystery Bag fundraiser planned for the spring concert.

Help Distribute Program Book!
|
Thank you to all of the families who helped procure advertisements for this year's Program Book.
We were unhappy with the first printing of the book and the printer graciously re-printed our entire run. Please pick up a brand new copy at the rehearsal desk.
|
If you procured an advertisement, please take books to deliver to your advertiser(s). NMYO does not mail advertisers the book due to the cost of postage. Thank you for delivering the books to your advertisers. It will help you repeat them for next year! ___________________________________________
|
Rehearsals will be canceled when NMYO receives notification from Masconomet High School or Trinity Episcopal Church that the facilities will be closed due to weather or other emergencies.
We will notify you in the following manner:
- Group email will be sent first
- Post to Facebook will be done second
- Message on NMYO office phone, third
- Post to www.nmyo.org homepage, fourth
Monday rehearsal musicians can also check the Masconomet Regional High School website; if the school is closed, or closing early, there are no NMYO rehearsals.
If necessary, make-up rehearsals for Monday ensembles will be held on Thursday, April 27th. Any make-up rehearsal will be held at the discretion of the Music Director and will be announced via email.
