ONE Pulse, ONE Breath, ONE Purpose
Family Unity
Monthly Update
January 2015

The past couple of months we have been studying and putting into practice what the bible tells us concerning unity. We are discovering how important unity is within our family, at our schools, on our jobs, with our friends, within the body of
Christ, and basically everywhere we go. Unity starts at home. First with our thoughts and then outwardly. Without it, nothing functions properly.

Thank you for taking the time to read our newsletter this month to see what the children are learning. Please let us hear from you.  It blesses us dearly.

Psalm 133:1

How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!

"When we are doing unity we are being kind to others, then things are good and pleasant and fun. We can do more things together like clean the house faster, sharing our things to have a good time, praying for others, and letting love cause us to do things for others first instead of ourselves. We have more time to love if we are in unity!  I like building stuff with my brothers and helping my Mom."

I am happy about God's LOVE!

"Family unity means working with your family better and being kind, nice and accomplishing things together"

I AM GRATEFUL FOR MY FAMILY!

Therapeutic Respite Care Days
Our home has been dedicated to caring for children with special needs. There is some misunderstanding to what this means. It isn't a babysitting service, but a time of ministering to families who often have exhausting circumstances with constant uninterrupted care- giving. This can be taxing for the entire family. Many of the children we serve have severe emotional & behavioral issues which require "eyes on" and "hands on" at all times.  Many of them have come from places of severe trauma. Providing a safe and loving home environment away from the child's home is the best way to help these special families and children in their time of need.  James 1:27  With over over 20 yrs experience and monthly training we serve.

Respite Care Services Defined:

Temporary care for children with special needs while providing relief for the child's caregivers.

Abby's Analogies
Abby

"UNITY is an important thing to have in a family.
I hope to get better at this and be more willing to help around the house without an attitude. Its better to work together than to work alone. Working together you can get the job done in no time. But unity is not just about working together. It is also about sharing. We should treat others how we want to be treated. This will also help with bringing unity to the family."

The bible says, "A house divided will not stand!"

To be in unity with your entire family you have to make an effort. You can encourage one another, and help one another and pray for one another.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 says, Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful; is not conceited; does not act improperly; is not selfish; is not easily provoked; does not keep a record of wrongs; finds no joy in unrighteousness; but rejoices in truth; bears all things, believes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.

I got a new guitar for Christmas. Unity is a lot like my guitar. If I didn't have all 6 strings working together, it would look  ugly and that's what sound would come out. But when I put all 6 strings together and its beautiful, that's how it sounds. There are 7 in our family and everyone must make an effort for us to have unity and the tune to be good.
