Greetings!
Happy New Year! Secular Pro-Life has big plans for our fourth year of activism. From launching AbortionSafety.com in the spring, to speaking on college campuses, we look forward to sharing 2012 with you.
January 22 marks the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion. Since then, over 50 million unborn babies have been killed by abortion in the United States. We take this time to honor their lives, and work toward the day when the right to life will be fully recognized. Secular Pro-Life will be participating in pro-life events on both coasts this weekend. You're invited to join us. West Coast Saturday, January 21: We hope you'll join us for the Walk for Life in San Francisco! To march with us, meet Secular Pro-Life representative Ellen Snyder in front of the Asian Art Museum (on the Larkin Street side) at 1:00 p.m. Look for the banner that says "Call me an extremist, but I think dismemberment is wrong." East Coast Sunday, January 22: Secular Pro-Life will have a table at the Students for Life of America conference in Bethesda, Maryland. If you have registered for the conference, stop by to meet Secular Pro-Life president Kelsey Hazzard and Life Matters Journal president Aimee Christine Bedoy. We have lots of free goodies for you! (Registration is now closed, but you can follow the conference online.) Monday, January 23: All are welcome to march under the Secular Pro-Life banner in the March for Life in Washington, D.C. We will meet at 399 Pennsylvania Avenue (near the intersection with 4th St. NW) at 1:00 p.m. Look for our bright blue banner, which says "For the embryology textbook tells me so." We look forward to seeing you! For Life, The Secular Pro-Life team |
