Stillwater Arts Day is Coming!!
On May 26th, Stillwater Elementary will host it's annual ARTS DAY.  Volunteers and guest artists are needed and choose 1, 2, or 3 sessions.  Volunteers will help and guest artists will teach.  Lunch and Materials will be provided.  If you are interested in helping, please contact Miss Rogers by clicking HERE.  Please let us know if you are interested no later than Thursday, February 16.  Thanks so much!

Enjoy a delicious dinner, exciting silent and live auctions, games, giveaways, and the company of others who value education as you do.
 
The Foundation is an integral partner with the Riverview School District providing many grants to Stillwater Elementary as well as every other school in the district.  Every child in the district has access to items purchased with REF grant funding. Grants are awarded in the areas of Technology, Science, Language, Health and Wellness, Career and Technical Education, Math, Visual and Performing Arts, Student services and more. Your attendance at this event will help sustain this important work.

Girls on the Run!!!
Girls on the Run is an after-school program that uses running to give girls the tools to celebrate their bodies, honor their voices, recognize their gifts, and activate their power!

WHO:  All 3rd thru 5th Grade Girls of all fitness abilities are WELCOME!

WHEN:  Mondays & Wednesdays - 3:45 - 5:15 pm

Kindness Week

The next few months are going to  FLY  (like soaring hawks of course...) by so we wanted to make sure you have all the important 5th grade ONLY dates to add to your family calendar!   Please note the additional dates added in red ...

 

  • March 5 - Camp Waskowitz Open House 1-3 pm - Click HERE for all the details.
  • March 23- Band/Choir Meet & Greet at Tolt 10 a.m.
  • March 28 - Tolt Counselors visit Stillwater to take about middle school registration with all 5th graders - parents do not need to be at these presentations.
  • April 4 - 5th Grade Parent Night at Tolt - 6-7:30 pm 
  • April 18 - Camp Waskowitz Parent Night for all 5th grade parents - 6 pm in Mrs. Marchel's Room - Room 23
  • April 24 - All Camp paperwork & final payments - Final Payments, Permission forms (please remember to sign the BACK of the blue form) and Medical Forms (if needed, med forms need to be signed by a doctor) are due to your student's teacher.
  • April 25 - FLASH (Family Life and Sexual Health) Parent Night for all 5th grade parents- 6 pm in Mrs. Marchel's Room - Room 23
  • May 9-May 12 - All 5th Graders head to Camp Waskowitz!
  • May 18 - 5th Grade transition event 2:45 - 5:00 pm at Tolt
  • May 30 - June 9 - FLASH Curriculum taught in 5th grade classrooms!

Weapons
 State Law (RCW 28A-600.420 and School District Policy 3200 prohibit the possession of firearms and weapons at school.  This law pertains to guns, knives, clubs, firecrackers, and explosives.  Dangerous weapons also include toy or "dummy" or look-alike objects.  The full text of the law and the definitions of dangerous weapons, as provided RCW9.41.250 and RCW 9.41.280, are on file in the school office.  Possession of firearms on school property will result in a one year mandatory expulsion, subject to appeal with notification to parents and law enforcement. Any violations of these guidelines by students constitutes grounds for expulsion from the Riverview School District and the public schools of the State of Washington, in accordance with the due process provisions of Washington State Law and Board Policy.
